One Piece Anime Becomes First Anime Streamed in Japan anime!

"Japanese broadcaster Fuji Television Network and the Japanese studio Toei Animation announced that they will be streaming the anime One Piece on the sites FujiTV on Demand and Anime Jan.


Not only is One Piece the first official series to be streamed in Japan, this was also to commemorate the 500th episode of the series.


Those who are hoping that streaming will be free like in North America might be a little disappointed - the price per episode of the series is 105 yen for a limited three day viewing. Fans can also purchase the first season for 4,484 yen for a 30 day viewing. Currently only the first episode is streaming for free.
